Why we have a $500 minimum
Honestly? Because anything less means cutting a corner you'd end up paying for. A proper repair visit sends two insured professionals in a stocked truck to your home, with the licensing, insurance and warranty that make the work worth having.
Companies that quote "$150 to fix a fence" recover the difference somewhere — an upsell at your door, uninsured labor, or a repair that fails next season. We'd rather publish a real number and make sure the visit is worth it: our minimum includes up to 3 hours of actual repair work, which is enough to completely finish the most common fence problems.
If your job is genuinely small, tell us in the quote form — sometimes we can group nearby small jobs on the same day and pass the savings along.
Pricing questions
Why is the minimum $500?
A real repair visit costs real money before the first board is touched: a stocked truck, an insured two-person crew, travel, and the licensing and warranty that stand behind the work. The $500 minimum covers up to 3 hours of skilled work on site — which finishes most common repairs — so you get genuine value, not a trip charge.
What happens if my repair takes longer than the included time?
After a 15-minute grace period, additional time is billed at $95/hour in 30-minute increments. You'll know before we start if your job looks likely to run over.
Are materials included in the minimum?
No — materials are added at cost plus a standard markup, itemized on your quote. Most common repairs use modest materials: a post, a bag of concrete, boards and fasteners.
Do you charge for quotes?
No. Quotes based on your photos and answers are free. If a repair genuinely can't be priced without an on-site visit, we'll tell you before anything is scheduled.
Is there a sales tax line on my invoice?
No. On residential repair work in Pennsylvania, contractors pay sales tax on materials when we buy them — you won't see a separate tax line added to your invoice.
